ARVSS does pick families for their precious rescued pups very carefully.  Families have to fill out an adoption application.  Answers are scrutinized and references are checked.  Families are met face to face and/or by phone.  Interaction between our "kids" and the families "kids" (human and 4-legged) are watched.  After all of that,  the amazing 6th sense of ARVSS volunteers finds the perfect home for each and every little critter. 

Take Hula's new family for example... You have to be very special to celebrate your dog's first birthday this way!  Notice the handmade card, special birthday cake and the "Little Mermaid" birthday crown on Hula's head...

 Now doesn't that just make you want to wag your tail!
