Kerri: Hi, congrats on winning JotW. Sounds like you are doing good work. What kind of dog is Hula? She reminds me so much of our dog Lily. (from my journal go to my website and you can see a pic.) Lily was such a good dog - so sweet and naturally obedient. She has passed away, but boy I miss her. We are blessed with Belle now and love her, but I still miss Lily.

She got along with all of the other dogs and didn't have any indoor accidents! She even curled up in a lady named Andrea's lap. Another 2-4 weeks and the girls will be adoptable. They are so sweet!

Wyatt's World!

  • Mood: Delighted
  • Thankful for: Happy Endings/New Beginnings

This is Wyatt's story - including his happy ending!  Grant and Angie were lucky to get him away from Charity and Jim, his foster family... they thought he was the best dog ever, and had thought about keeping him!  Enjoy your new life Wyatt!  Come visit us sometime soon!

Wyatt was picked up off the streets by the Licking County (Ohio) Department of Animal Control around November 16, 2006. He had tags, the owners were contacted but they did not respond to animal control. Wyatt was to be put down shortly before being saved by ARVSS on December 11th. They placed Wyatt, along with 3 other Ohio dogs into foster homes around the Madison area. They were posted on the ARVSS website andpetfinder.com where we saw his profile and pictures.

After our application was approved we had the opportunity to meet Wyatt in Madison as his foster
family (You can learn more about them at www.HarrisFamilyFarms.com and look for them at the Hilldale Mall Farmer's Market on Wednesdays and Saturdays, as well as their products at Sundance 60) was in town to have their two other puppies get vet check-ups. He is a sweet and gentle boy who simply needs love, attention and a safe and happy home. We knew right away that we would be a good home for him and he would be a great companion for us.

Wyatt needs to gain some weight (he was a bit skinny when picked up as a stray) but is otherwise very healthy - he has thankfully tested negative for heartworm and any other issues. He is a VERY good sleeper who can nap with the best of 'em and is quite a dreamer as well, judging by the wiggling paws and facial movements. He knows sit, shake and come and we think he will really enjoy obedience classes starting in a couple of weeks. He likes running off leash at the dog park but always keeps us within sight and never gets too far away. We know he will love the lake and the 40, and we'll have
to see if he's a swimmer or not.

We look forward to introducing him to you in the near future!

Grant & Angie
